Nasturtium

This beach mat was made from a vintage reversible quilt and is equally beautiful on both sides. It was hand sewn by the rural women of Indian, using Kantha embroidery stitches. It is believed the artisan sew blessings and dreams into the fabric with each stitch. 

The spontaneous color and pattern dazzle in a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The mat is an up-cycled work of art and may possess worn components, patches or perfectly aged inconsistencies, all of which add to its unique ancient charm. 

The beach mats are oversized (approximately 5'x7') and ingeniously designed with underside corner pockets that get filled with sand to hold it down even on a windy day. 

The mat comes in a coordinated backpack for easy travel and storage. It is also equipped with a hidden lock pocket for personal items.
